Can pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is opaque dark brown (copper highlights at bottom of glass), with trace sparkle at the edge of the glass, a few light floaties, 1/2-finger width beige foamy head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted espresso with maple syrup and lactose evident. Taste is bold roasted coffee (bordering on ashy) moreso than chocolate with lactose. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation and sweet and pleasantly light bitter finish. Overall, a nice milk stout with more slightly more interesting aroma than taste and excellent palate.
