On cask at SIBA BeerX - Rich reddy brown body, thick lacing white head. Nose is a fruity aroma like a fruit salad sweet... only stronger and a bit more savoury. Taste is a grape led experience with blackcurrants and more tropical fruit coming through. Smooth full body, lasting finish. Decent enough.

Cask (Lady Grey’s, Newcastle) - Brown with orangey tinges. Roasted malt, chestnuts and caramel in the aroma. Roasted and fruity taste with roasted malt standing out.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2014. Milky way chocolate bar from my childhood. Very milk chocolate. Some fruit. Not really my kind of beer but it’s fine. Nice chocolate though

Bottled 500ml (AbM)
Deep clear ruby-red color, small steady beige head, lace. Caramalty, grassy, burned sugar aroma. Light-bodied, suprsingly weak palate for this ABV. Flavor has similar elements than the nose: caramalt, grassy hoppyness, bread, toasted sugar. Too sweet and lacks decent bitterness for "wolf’s bite".

500ml bottle. Wonderful, clear, ruby red glowing, mahagony colour with average, creamy, fairly lating, minimally lacing, beige head. Grainy aroma, notes of oat flakes, a fruity touch of blackcurrant. Taste is dry, hints of oat flakes, very subtle sweetness, a fruity touch of red and black berries, a touch of cocoa powder. Leaves my slightly indecisive - nice fruitiness, slightly aggravating oaty dryness.

(bottle) Clear lovely deep red with off-white head. Nice aroma of berries, raisins and caramel malt, maybe hints of chocolate. Light to medium body with medium carbonation. Refreshing fruity berry start shifting quickly to raisins and then chocolate and dark roast malt finish. A very nice beer.

Cask @ Mile Castle JDW, Newcastle 090912
Caramel brown, dense off white head with some lacing
Aroma - soft caramel malts, not much on the aroma
Taste - soft caramel malts. toffee malts, hint of chocolate, good flavour, alcohol well hidden, would like more flavour though - I remember it beingt a tad more intense than this
Palate - thinnish body. Finish as main flavour witha bit of soft lingering toasted malts with a bit of cocoa
Overall - Seems to be not as good when I’ve had it before - will re-rate next time I see it

Cask at Chapel Beer Festival. Clear amber brown beer. Semi dry palate. Rich malt. Fruity but with a distinct bubblegum undertone. Porter like dark fruits. Very nicely flavoured beer.

Cask at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury. Hazy copper/mahogany colour. Fudge aroma. Sweet and fruity with medium body and cushiony caramally malt. Some butterscotch and lactic tartness. Low bitterness. Unconvincing.
