Mini keg from Tebay Serives M6. Hazy ruby colour with a pale tan head. Aroma smooth malty. Taste light bittersweet. Medium body.

Bottle from Rheged. Appearance - deep amber brown with a slim head. Nose - orange, toffee, honeycomb. Taste - marmalade, caramel and spice. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture. The finish is rich but dry. Overall - interesting and complex ESB.

Leeds Beer Festival 2017. Golden-amber, not overly bitter given it was advertised as this, but full and drinkable for its strength. It’s not really sessionable, but worth a try.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear amber with a lacing, off-white head. Caramelly, butterish aroma. Medium body, rich, sweet caramel and toffee, only a little late hops. I guess the diacetyl is technically allowed in this beer, whether or not you like it is a different question. 121016

Bottle. Pours a dark golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel hoppy aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel chocolate finish.

Bottle@Yesprs - Dark Amber pour with white head. Aroma and taste comprises toasty malty notes, with some toffee and treacle sweetness, light nutty action, twiggy and light herbal hoppy into the finish.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear amber with no head. Aromas of fudge, creme caramel. Taste is grassy hops and toffee. Finishes light sweet.

Cask at the Blue Blazer. It pours deep amber-brown with a small off-white head. The nose is brown bread, dark fruits and wood The taste is smooth, malt-driven, brown bread, dried fruit, light toast, leather and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Rather nice malt-driven beer.
