Cask (handpump) @ NWAF 2012, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, choclate, spicy, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, christmas spices. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, spicy, licorice, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120118]

bottle at home ... black ... thick bubbly tan head ... soft chocolate roast light sour tinge ... light medicinal ... chocolate black currant roast ... ahh its spiced ... thats what the medicinal tinge is ... cinnamon and something ... nice soft body ... good solid roast ... ligth warming ... little unusualy but quite nice.
