Taster pour at Powder Keg Beer and Chili Festival. Appearance is cloudy dark brown with a tiny ring of beige head. Aroma is all malts, somewhere between toast and full on roasted. Taste is bittersweet light roast, earthiness thanks to the Hallertau. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation, with balance between sweet and bitter along with some earth in the finish. Overall, this is clean and decent but not that exciting.
