Pours gold into a snifter. Caramel and grapefruit aromas. Dry and hot with sweet caramel and resin front to back. Lasting pith finish.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from McAloon’s in N. Andover, MA. Aroma is Belgian yeast, fruity esters, bubble gum, burning match. Appearance is hazy yellowish brown with 1 1/2 finger-width foamy white head with decent retention, nice sparkle, and sudsy lacing. Taste is strong mix of sweet esters, tropical fruit, moderate bitter and mild alcohol. Palate is surprisingly light bodied with thin, creamy texture but dominated by fizzy carbonation (pays to let it sit). Finish is crisp and dry with lingering sweetness. Overall, not as enjoyable as plain old Larry. Had one where the appearance was sort of dirty dishwater and the palate was weak, and another where appearance and palate were nice.
