Cask at Real Crafty, Wigan. Pours very dark reddish-brown with minimal foamy tan head and good lacing. There’s roast malts and oats in the aroma, plus some hints of toffee. In the mouth it is sweet and smooth with a creamy texture. Flavour has dark fruits, treacle and roast malts with traces of honey and cola coming through later. Finish is fruity and slightly dry. Seems to be quite decent, but I can’t be too certain as it was served much too cold – a rerate required maybe ?

Pendle Beer Festival 2016. Practically black in colour. Has some slightly sweetened roasted malts with the latter not too stated, but all very palatable.
