Cask (gravity) @ Hop Pole Inn, [ Hop Pole Beer Festival & Aylesbury Brewhouse Grand Opening 2011 ], 83 Bicester Road, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England HP19 9AZ.Clear dark black - red brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee, dark malt. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a duration, dark malt, english licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111204]

From cask at Market Porter. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and breadish. Breadish, light liqourice and mild spiced. Bitter and dry malty finish.

Cask at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury. Black. Aroma of bread and licorice. Fairly dry and very roasty wit haniseed, licorice and tobacco. Solid bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Salty bitterish finish. Nice!
