Well hopped with grains leading to complex layers of thirst quenching bitterness including a chocolatey-orange finish. definitly not a black IPA, its a well hopped porter following the same tradition as IPA (except this was for the troups not the officers...)

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Dark brown. Chocolate, yeast, vegetal notes, piney hops, sweetish, bitter finish, a bit harsh, metallic notes.

Black with creamy head. Aroma is strange. Some sulphur and farmy notes. Flavour is bittersweet with roasted malt. Something saline in the finish.

Cask at the Manchester Beer and Cider Festival, 2018. Black pour with a beige head. Cocoa, chocolate, sweet dark malt and coffee nose. Flavours of liquorice, smoke, chocolate, raisin. Good stuff.

ABV: 5.2%. Clear dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, strong coffee - dark roasted. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, vegetable coffee, dusty coffee, roasted, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180124]

7 3 7 3 14 Cask at The Firkin Shed, Boscombe. Dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of malt, dark chocolate, roast and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
