Next up in our ever evolving series of niche European-inspired classics is this Northern German gem.
We brewed this guy with a base of Maine Pilsner malt and hopped it lightly with German Noble hops, keeping it simple and slightly malty. Fermented low and slow with our house lager yeast & then lagered cold for close to 7 weeks at 33 degrees.
Thankfully our patience was rewarded with delicious, golden subtlety.

Draft at Isaac Newton's in Newtown, PA. Clear, honey gold pour. Small white cap. Grainy malt aroma hints at clover and hay. Flavor is more grainy malt and herbal hops. Clean, crisp and refreshing. some peppery hops on backend.

Had while watching football. Feeling a bit under weather but a lager should get me back to health. Rich gold colored brew with minimal head. Nose is bready and malt. Tatses malty, doughy, hint of herbal tones, florals. Rich bodied. Low carbonation.
