The perfect Mexican lager. Light and refreshing, it really hits the spot after a long day of brutal chainsaw work. Brewed with the finest malt, Saaz hops, yeast, water, and love.

Can: Babyfood pear, stewed apple, cinnamon nose. Huh? Milky yellow, thin head. Sweet and musty pears. Light caramel and hazelnut finish. What the hell was that? What a bizzare lager, if that ’s really what it is. I sense that this is a weird inside joke or prank by the brewer. It drinks like a blonde ale.

Can from ericandersnavy. Pours gold with a fizzy creamy white head. Aroma is mostly bready with a hint of noble hop. Near med body. Flavor is bready with some noble hop bitter. It’s pretty refreshing at the endof a hot day. Finishes more bitter than it started.

Can. Poured a clear gold with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of pine and some grass backed by a bit of grains and bread. Flavor was nice with a good amount of grass and light pine hops matched by sweet grains that combined nicely. Great for drinking by the pool.

can pours light yellow with a medium white head, spotty lacing. Aroma is dried grass, light floral hops, and a hint of lime. Flavor is light and grassy, dry pale malts, grainy, slightly sweet ending with a nice bit of peppery saaz. Nice stuff.

Can at flying saucer. Pours a clear golden with a small white head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is wheat grass and floral hop. Medium mouthfeel with crisp wheat and light hop. A good lager from SKA.

Single can,$1.50 @ Binny’s. Pours a bright pale lager yellow, with plenty of bubbles and a fluffy, then spongy head. Smell does have a trace of oxidation from clear Mexican bottles, even if it is from a can. I can’t help but imagine I’m sniffing a trace of lime already in there. Taste is nice, though. No blatant adjunct. Is Saaz the hop of choice for Mexican lagers, though? Well, crisp and light malts, a very slight citrus & pepper Noble hop note. Likeable and it probably fills a lot of requests for a pale SKA beer. But would I pick up a variety pack with this in it? Slight skunk in finish.

12 oz can purchased at Royal in Kansas City, Missouri. Best before 08/31/11 stamped on the bottom rim of the can. Pour is a slightly hazed yellow golden, with a one inch white head that falls quick with lacing. Aroma is earthy, mildly spicy Saaz hop aroma along with cereal grains (which become more pronounced as it warms). Taste is the cereal grain up front, mixed with a bit of sweet corn, then the nice mild Saaz earthy spice through the finish. Nice flavor, mostly clean. Palate is light bodied, watery mouth feel, mildy mineral dirt finish. Nice enough beer, good canned beer option for the summer. This must have been drinkable, went down fast.

Pour is a bright clear yellow with a large white fizzy head. Aroma is almost nothing some sweet grain. Flavor does have a little dry cereal malt and grassy hop toward the end. Has more body and heft than a Corona that’s for sure. This would be a good camping\ float trip beer.

Can - clear gold with sparse lacing - aroma of dry, crisp malts, lightly spicy hops and a bit of apple-ish esters - flavor is clean - medium dry with a slight hint of tartness - some toasted grains, moderate bitterness and semi-spicy saaz bite on the tail end - a pretty quality lawnmower beer, but with the Full Sail LTD lagers floating around for 2 bucks less a six pack, I probably won’t be buying this again.

Bottle from cpkschubert, Thanks Craig! Nose of grain like a pale lager (no surprize), but there is a faint bit of citrusy hops in the background; gold with a small white head; Flavor was grainy malt in it’s medium-light body, with a little citrus and hops in the finish.
