Bottle at ash's. Pours deep ruby brown, nose is funky, liquorice, soy sauce, chocolate, taste is sweet, toffee, liquorice, bitter coffee, roasted. --- Beer merged from original tick of 1840 Export Stout on 22 Nov 2020 at 19:07 - Score: 7

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - opaque black with a tan head. Nose - hazelnut and creamy light chocolate. Malt loaf. Taste - smoky, treacle and biscuit. Palate - smoky and medium bodied. Dry bitter finish. Overall - very nice beer.
