Inspired by the famous Lakeland fell-walker Alfred Wainwright, our master brewers go the extra mile too. They search near and far for quality English malt and hops and tirelessly craft unique combinations worthy of the Wainwright name, like this delightfully refreshing Golden Beer. Lightly hopped with subtle sweetness, a delicate citrus aroma and a gloriously golden colour. Enjoy

Cask at The Wainwright Pub. Pours a clear light gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has lots of straw and hay with a hint sweet grains underlying. Flavor combines crisp straw and hay with touches of sweetness and grass backing.

Cask at the Calthorpe Arms, London on 12th April 2019. Golden amber with virtually no foam to speak of. Light caramel malt aroma. Malty in-mouth with soft fruits, these two foci combining into a medium sweet blended finish. Smooth mouthfeel and a moderate body.

Cask at the Ship Inn, Highley, Shropshire. Poured a clear straw colour with a big frothy white head. The aroma is malt, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth, light, dry malt, very light spice, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Well kept and a perfect session ale.
