Inspired by the famous Lakeland fell-walker Alfred Wainwright, our master brewers go the extra mile too. They search near and far for quality English malt and hops and tirelessly craft unique combinations worthy of the Wainwright name, like this delightfully refreshing Golden Beer. Lightly hopped with subtle sweetness, a delicate citrus aroma and a gloriously golden colour. Enjoy

Cask at Victoria Hotel, Robin Hood's Bay. Golden colour, creamy white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, grain. Taste is sweetish, malty, biscuit, grainy with zesty citrus hop notes and earthy bitterness. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Yellow pint that starts hazy but slowly settles. Thin white head. Very light fruit aroma, slight lemony taste. Bit bland and due to that could go being a bit crisper but itโs light, refreshing and pretty drinkable.

Small coarseish white head. Slightly hazy pale yellow body with carbonation. Light floral fruity resiny aroma with tea and grape notes. Dry-sweetish resiny floral fruity taste. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish wooden straw aftertaste with herbal notes. Quite nice, but faintly boring. (0.25l cask at The Black Lion, Chiswick, London.)
