Ett torrt mjöd på honung från Lovöns lindskogar kring Drottningholm, som kommer från Kjell Anderssons egna odlingar där. Honungen innehöll även förvånansvärt tydliga spår av sälg och raps, men smakmässigt är det linden som dominerar. Troligtvis kommer lindtonerna till stor del även från honungsdagg från lind. Mjödet är helt torrt, men känns för den sakens skulle inte magert som vissa torra mjöd kan göra ibland, utan har tydlig smak. Överlag ett väldigt trevligt mjöd, med ursprung från Kungafamiljens egen trädgård.

75 cl bottle. Pours pale yellow with a fully gone head. Aroma is mild citric, light fruity. Floral. Smooth floral, mild fruity. Lingering elegant honey. Dry, yet smooth, must be the increased alcohol. Smooth fruity, peachy like. Smooth fruity finish.

Bottle at mead tasting on November 2, 2012.Thanks to omhper!Clear pear color, no head. SWeet, resin, alcohol, honey scent. Apple, tart, some butter taste. Butter aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, tart bitter finish.

Bottle 750ml. @ PBF2012.Clear light yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy honey, flowers, papaja ? maybe eucalytus, alcohol notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration, tart, honey, dry, tart apple notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20120727]

Very pale blond color. Mellow aroma, delicate, some rapeseed honey. Dry mouthfeel with traces of limetree (tiglio), light ending bitterness. A bit breadish.

The yellow color is very pale. The aroma is delicate and elegant: honey, peach, light fir; very fresh. The mouthfeel is extremely dry; there is some similarity with a dry Pinot Gris, also some bread note, very light white pepper, and it ends with an evident mineral trait.
Although not in my chords, it’s correctly brewed and it pairs well with food.
