SOPP 2013, Turku. A black beer with a big and brown head. Aroma is roasted, liquirice, some coffee and hint of lactose sourness. Taste is rich and powerfull, roastiness, liquirice, herbal bitterness dries the taste. Full bodied, smooth low carbonation, easy to drink. Very succesfully beer with the strong flavours, still easy to enjoy.

My 4000. rating!
Aroma has licorice, some distant smoky notes, hints of tar and ash. Flavour has slightly salty licorice, some soy sauce and distant herbal notes. Dry and kind of leathery finish. Somewhat sticky palate. A positive surprise and the best beer from Kuninkaankartano so far.

Pours pitch black with a nice smooth light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, some yeasty and herbal notes. Taste is malty, roasty and slightly hoppy with some herbal notes and some off-flavors. Finish is smooth and malty with some roasty notes. Okay, but feels like something is a bit off here.

(Draught at SOPP’12) The beer poured black. Its head was small and almost white. Aroma had roasted malts, green apples and hops. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, liquorice, ash, burnt malts, herbalness and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. A tasty beer but weird.
