Bottle. Gift. Deep, almost red wine and liquroice aroma. Somewhat sweet liquroice taste. Rather lovely.

Bottle at Tautra Klostergård. Pours dark brown with little off-white head. Aroma of dark chocolate, smoke, dark bread, roasted notes. Tastes slightly sweet with balancing bitterness. Thin bodied, dry mouthfeel, roasted finish.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - batch 872 - BB 17.07.19, from Gulating Ølutsalg Trondheim, 20180621) The beer poured clear and dark brown. Its head was medium sized nearly white. Aroma had malts, molasses and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, molasses, coffee, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. A pleasant smooth porter. Bit too sweet.

Bottle at home. Has a deep brown to black colour with a beige head. Slightly sweet aroma of chocolate cake, coffee, burned wood and some smoke. Malty flavour of bread crust, leather, coffee and some chocolate. Has a silky mouth feel, light to medium bitterness and light bitterness. Tasteful and balanced porter with a nice touch of smoke.

Skum/kullsyre: Tynt dekkende skum, heng langs kant.
Smak: Fruktig, kaffe, lakris noe mørk sjokolade.

Bottle from Gulating cons 2015-05-30 Duved AR: heavy roasted malt, coffey and chocolate AP: dark woody brown, stouty sand brown creamy lid F: dry, roasted malt, hollow feeling, milk chocolate, salt liqurice, peaty feeling, finshes very dry and heavy rosted malt on the positive side there is a nice part of milk chocolate aswell....
