An amber English-style ale that has a nice balance between hops and malt. It's the most popular of our beers and the most versatile in terms of pairing with food or people.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours slightly hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma is bread with sweetness. A bit thin. Flavor is breadish with not a great deal of hop bitter. Well, the bitter seems to build, so there’s enough to help kill the malt. Overall it’s ok, just not the APA I expected from the words on the label. It’s growing on me.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Hazy amber color with a small white head. Fruity citric hops aroma with some slightly biscuity malt. Flavor has some sweet malt, biscuit, dough and caramel notes, some fruitiness and a drier finish with moderate hoppy bitterness. Medium-bodied. Enjoyable.

From my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy caramel-orange color with a small beige head that produced good lacing. The aroma was light sweet grapefruit, light pine and a bit of caramel. The flavor was malty, nutty and lightly bitter with notes of grapefruity, pine and caramel. Medium length sweetish hoppy finish. Medium body. Subdued but pleasant.

Bottle from Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville. Pours a very pretty red-amber - small off-white head. Light grasses and coffee beans in the nose. Peppery hops hit the tongue, then coffee beans - not brewed coffee. Slight sweet finish. Interesting and unexpected.

Copper with a creamy white head. Earthy, light sweet biscuit malts. Flavor is much the same with a light hop spice. A decent english pale.

Got this on tap at Sunset Grille. Beer menu lied to me with promise that it was going to have 6.8 percent alcohol. Bastards. Anyway, it looks perfectly nice, with a proper copper/amber body and a nice off-white head, especially when poured into one of those tulip glasses that they like serving beers in. You get a bunch of bready malts in the nose along with some mild hopping. Taste is pretty well-balanced, making for a proper session ale. Moderate enough grassy hops with bready malts in taste obviously as well. Also got some citrus in there as well, but that is not one of the main flavors it seems.

bottle, thanks to SHIG, pours hazy carmel with a tall frothy off white head. Aroma is floral with nice hop notes and a pale malt and hay background. Flavor is toasted malt and a nice sour note that are balanced with a decent hop bitterness, reminds me of an ESB. Not bad.
