Pint at the brewery. Pours dark brown, nearly black, with a small, tan head. The nose is lots of cloves, dark chocolate, anise, pine, and caramel. Sweet and malty, with a pleasant, savory spice. Medium to heavy body, with a syrupy, sharp palate. This is a tasty and solid spiced beer.
