Bottle from the Shops at Dartington. Appearance - deep amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - brown bread. Light caramel and possibly ginger. Is there a bit of red fruit in there? There might be. Taste - caramel shortbread without the chocolate. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Fairly dry finish. Overall - good example of the style.

500ml bottle shared with Finn at Tuckers Maltings Taphouse. Clear copper coloured body. Patchy layer, fragile lacing. Doughy aroma with citric hints. Bread, toffee and red fruity impact to the flavour character. Slightly jam-like. Dry, bittersweet finish. Smooth. Decent version of the style (Newton Abbot 27.04.2017).
