A tall off white head sits on top of this richly colored amber brew. A little yeast and a little hops in the aroma, but needs a bit more malt aroma. The flavor is smooth and sweet, but again needs much more maltyness to be a real Bock beer. Might pass this off as a good Vienna or some other kind of Amber Lager. Very drinkable, tasty beer, just not a Bock.

A decent light bock - medium bodied, good malty sweetness - undertones of bread - not too complex, but quite drinkable.

A colleague gave me one of these as it was an "extra" from one of those beer-of-the-month clubs. After being a little disappointed by the JackFrost I was not sure what to expect. This is a better beer than JackFrost but still just an average beer. Pours a bright and clear orange color with a medium thin off-white head. Lacing is nil. Aroma is lightly malty. Flavor is malty and creamy but falls a little flat toward the end. Finish is dry. Decent Bock but not something I would go out of my way to try again.

Cloudy brown color. Bottle-conditioned? Strong malty nose, and flavor. Fairly complex, with lots of strong dark fruit flavors (plum, pruney, dates, pear?). Filling. Perhaps a bit overdone - a little restraint might turn this into a great beer.
