Cask @ Thomas Rigby’s, Liverpool. Golden-orange with a small head. Has a malty nose with light malts in its taste and a medium bitterness. Gentle enough in its texture.

8th April 2015: my first beer on the Isle of Man. Hand-pulled pint through a huge swan neck in the excellent Trafalgar in Ramsey. Amber and clear with a good, lasting white crown: it looked good on this and subsequent occasions I drank it around the island. The nose is a pleasant blend of hops and light caramel notes, as is the taste. This is a true session ale and flavoursome for such a brew, coming in at only 3.7% ABV: very drinkable and one of the best in it’s class/style.

Cask. Smooth beginning, fresh, hints of roasted nuts, roasted malt, hazelnuts. Easy to drink, fresh, smooth. Slightly dryer and more bitter till the end. Nice and smooth, dry-malty with a nice bitterness remains on the tongue!

Cask @ Bear and Billet, Chester [220314] [From memory as notes lost]
Amber colour, clear, white head. Remember this as a fairly standard session bitter but better than usual. Light caramel malt, soft bitter hops. Finish did have some more hop in it....recall this as a 3.1

Well kept half pint from cask at The Fly in the Loaf, Liverpool. Nitro creamy, white head over an amber body. Smooth smell of flowery hops. Subdued taste of fresh fruity hops followed by a developing bitter ending. Well bodied for its strength (03.05.2009).
