On tap at Abner’s. Pours a clear brown with agray head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of sweet dark grains, sweet bread with a touch of chocolate and light fruit. Flavor is similar with sweet bread and sweet dark grains upfront with a hint of sweet chocolate in the finish.

330 mL bottle. Pours black, like cola, with a very thin, off-white head that disappears quickly. Notes of dark fruits, caramel, milk chocolate, and black bread. Very sweet up front, with very faint bitterness toward the finish. Medium to heavy body, velvety, smooth, and clean. Overall, this is a malty, delicious beer.

Bottled 330ml. -from Billa Kiev, Ukraine. Brown coloured, medium sized pale beige head, dry malty nutty nose (not so pleasant actually). Sweet malty, caramel and strong dried fruits presence with not so strong alcohol notes. Sweet sticky finish. Bad batch or I just didn’t like it.

Bottle. A clear, dark brown beer with a small, beige head. Dried fruits, lots of caramel, some notes of alcohol, and a hint of something roasted. Balancing bitterness in the flavor, with caramel, some alcohol warmth and dried fruits. Full-bodied, warming and soft. Lasting caramel finish with some dried fruits. A pleasant one indeed, tasteful, complex and well worth a revisit. 120817
