At a tasting, smallish bubbly head, dark brown color with reddish taints, aroma of cherries, light vanila, toasted bread and just a charred hint. flavor of chocolate and metal with some fruit, some tannins, much too sour, quite light. Fair but difficult to drink.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Max. Black with a tan head. Aroma of cherries, some roast, chocolate. Sweet flavor, slightly sourish, with caramel, some cherries, some roast, a bit of chocolate. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Draft. Almost black, cream-colored foam. Aroma: malt, wine, yeast, a little roasted, cream, dried fruits, prunes. Taste: wine, malt, caramel, prune, a little sweet, malty, roasted.
