Draught @ SOPP Helsinki 2012, Finland.Light unclear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, fruity. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel, citrus - orange bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120726]

Draught@SOPP Helsinki 2012. Hazy orangeish amber colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is alcohol, caramel, fruits, mild flue and some big time hoppyness. Flavour is being rather fruity and floral hoppy with some grassy and sweet malty notes as well. Quite balanced.

Draught at SOPP, Helsinki. Hazy deep amber, small beige head. Deep buttery caramellures behind salty, grapefruity hops. Sweet and full bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Peppermint and syrup, some tropical fruits. Long bitter finish. Feels a bit young and immature with its mild stickyness.

Nice to get chance to rate the third part of Arde trilogy too. I had this for the first time at the brewery when it was still in the maturing tanks. Clear copper color, vanishing white head, Rye bready, slightly sweet caramelly nose. Full-bodied. Sweetish, caramelly, nutty hoppyness and fruity notes. Hides alcohol now quite well. Quite fruity and smooth barley wine.

Pours dark orange with a small head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, toffee, some fruits and hops. Taste is malty and slightly sweet with some caramel notes and hints of bitter hops. Finish is sticky sweet and malty with some fruitness. Okay, slightly unbalanced barley wine/DIPA hybrid.

(Draught at Bruuveri, 20120412) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, caramell, hops and pine. Palate was medium bodied and warming with quite high carbonation. Flavours were hops, pine, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, boozy and bitter. I found this beer unbalanced and too boozy. The hops pleased me, though. Also, according to the brewer the beer wasn’t ready for serving yet.
