Gouden Carolus Indulgence [Indulgence, noun, \in-'dәl-jәn(t)s\ something that is done or enjoyed as a special pleasure] is a limited series of beers brewed every year with varying content. These ‘Indulgence’ brews are exclusive delights to be savoured at special moments or shared with special people.
Cuvée Sauvage is the 2nd taste to be produced under this label. Gouden Carolus Cuvée van de Keizer Rood was blended with 2- and 3-year-old Lambic (20%) from the Boon Brewery (Lembeek). This union combines the best of two brewing traditions: full-bodied and subtly flavoured, fruity and refreshingly sour.

F: big, white, not long lasting. C: gold, hazy. A: orange, lambic, brett, woody, oak, vinous, apples, basement, barnyard. T: malt, orange, apples, light woody, brett, peach, hint of spicy, mineral, sticky sweet, medium to full body, good carbonation, I appreciate interesting brew it´s combination of two styles so you should not to expect neither of them :) 0,75l bottle from Delhaize @ Schaerbeek in Brussels.

Golden colour with a thick head.
Sweet aroma with notes of toffee, marshmallows and asome lime.
Sparkling mouthfeel.
The flavor start off in a belgian ale sweet way but soon gets more belgian sour ale dry-ish.
I’m not sure if it works or not.

Bottle shared. Clear golden with small white head. Massive peach, light funk, some alcohol, with some soft herbs, grassy, apricot, light gooseberries. Over medium sweet, just medium bitter and very light sour. Over medium bodied.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, perfume, alcohol and yeasty. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol. Carbonation is a bit high. 121116

75 cl bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is peachy and slight citric. Smooth fruity, citric and crisp hoppy. Fruity and soight citric. Mellow fruity far finish.
