A lighter bodied companion to our stout. Also brewed with roasted and dark malts, and nicely hopped. This is a creamy, smooth and very drinkable dark beer.

Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a black color with a thin white foamy head that dies off immediately. Left no lacing.
The aroma had some roasty coffee and subtle cocoa powder. Light vanilla tones underneath.
The flavor yields to the roastiness first. Blended aftertaste of the coffee and cocoa. Subtle roasty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. Roastiness is there but keeps a good feel on my tongue.
Overall, good porter worthy of coming back to.
