Bottle. Dark brown/black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of blueberries, roasted malt and toffee. Sweet, quite strange, one-dimensional and not so fun in the long run.

65 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Dark brown/black liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of blueberries, blueberry soup, candy, chocolate, vanilla, mint and roasted malt. Nice smell. Taste is light sweet, light to medium bitter with notes of blueberry, chocolate and some coffee. Tastes good but a bit wierd. Full bodied with nice carbonation and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, quite different and interesting beer. Really good but a bit cloying.

Enjoyed a bottle just as hurricane Irene was starting. Pours black with this soapy head. Nose is caramel, coffee, some blueberry. Taste is of coffee, caramel, earth, smoke, peat, roasted malt, and very light blueberry. I honestly didn’t get nearly as much blueberry as I expected. Still very tasty

Bottle purchased out of morbid curiosity. Pours with a deep brown, near black with a fluffy tan to brown head. Decent lacing. Strong blue berry aroma from a long ways away. A bit sweet from a distance too. Up closer there is a bit of roast, tons of caramel and toffee, a bit of an orange peel/marmalade note as well that seems a bit out of place. Bready, toasty. A decent amount of alcohol. Roast takes on coffee notes. Flavors are a bit roasty for my taste and a bit of candied sweetness (too much). A lingering ashy, tobacco flavor that clashes a bit with the fruit. Lightly metallic. Fruit is there, a bit faint. Overall it seems too sweet. Interesting, but I don’t particularly enjoy the porter elements with the fruit. Creamy carbonation, warming, a hint astringent from the roast. Fuller bodied.

Bomber from the Natomas BevMo in Sacramento, CA. Pours a very dark brown/black with a foamy tan head. Aroma of blueberries over a very nice darkly roasty malt. Near full body. Flavor is more about the malt than the blueberries. It’s good beer. Guess there’s hop to offset the malt, cause it’s finishing more dry than not. Flavor is lightly blueberry and strong roasty malt. Again - this is good beer.

Pours amber tinged mahogany into a Sam glass. Tan conglomerate head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Smoked caramel and mild blueberry aromas. Dark chocolate and blueberry from front to back. Hot mocha finish.
