A modern craft-brewing interpretation of a medieval beer style, revived for your tasting pleasure. Dutch Kuyt (or Kuit or Koyt) harkens back to when hops were first introduced to brewing practices in the area of the European low countries we now call the Netherlands. Oats were the primary grain of choice, but with the hops came barley which was easier to brew with. The result of this clash of cultures was a lightly but noticeably hopped, cloudy ale with a distinct fruitiness from the malted oats. Our interpretation uses malted oats, malted wheat and malted barley, plus European hops to create something not seen in centuries. Don’t let the name fool you, Freaky Deaky Dutch is easy drinking, crisp, and refreshing. Sometimes on nitro!
