Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of wood, grapes, alcohol, and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Tasting at Papsø’s, Limited Release 2011
It has a dark mahogany color, with red hue; generous head, reducing quickly. The aroma is nice, it has chocolate notes with a clear presence of red wine barrel, some berries. Correct body strength, but the mouthfeel is spoiled both by an excessive carbonation and by a too high alcohol character; the malt or caramel flavor are well hidden; it has some kind of woody bitterness and a trace of red wine.
Boozy and chaotic execution.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of maneliquor. Pours a clear dark amber with a smallish beige head. Quite some tannins and wood in the nose, somewhat medicinal. Medium body, a strange tart and rustic feel to it, the wood is somewhat rough. There’s certainly a red wine feel to it, but I don’t really get a feel of the original beer. Again this medicinal, herbal feel. Not all that convincing. 160612
