The Aromas are dark malt and roast. Flavors are like Nose with a nice balance between sweet, tart, and bitter. Good body with slightly strong carbonation and decent finish. Nothing unusual but not too bad either.

16 ounce can. Dark brown color with a slight reddish hue. Rocky tan head is voluminous initially, then it disappates quickly. Roasted malt nose has hints of chocolate and brown sugar. Flavor is roasted malt and chocolate. A bit thin in body. Decent flavor with a touch of metallic notes in finish.

Pour is a near enough black with a large fluffy tan head. Aroma is a real nice roasted charred malt with some anise and chocolate. Flavor is more charred malt and super dry finish. I also get a bit of campfire smokiness but it is minor. This is definitely a American take on a schwarzbier. A nice roasty malt almost boarding on porter/stout territory.
