This style came from the British occupation of India. Since there wasn’t refrigeration at the time, the brewers had to increase the alcohol content as well as dose up the hop bitterness so the beer could make the voyage overseas. Copper in color. Medium body and maltiness with a high hop bitterness, using Chinook and Kent Golding hops. Alcohol strength is evident. Not a beer for babies.
