Can at Laďa's humanitarian PNW tasting for Ukraine. Pitch black body, off-white head. Roasty, nutty aroma, light alcohol and dark caramel. Slightly tart chocolatey taste, bit caramelly, dry, lightly roasty, herbal even. Ends bitter. It's tasty, but wasn't a fan of the body to be fair.

On tap at Old Schoolhouse, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt upfront, with a touch of coffee. Flavour is medium bodied, with roasted malt upfront, a touch of coffee and dry cocoa. Lots of body for a non-imperial stout. Very nice stuff.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Elwood. Pours a pitch black with a tiny beige head. Sweet, roasty nose, a little raisin. Rich body, sweet licoricey roast and a little vanilla. Subdued bitterness but again quite some. Very pleasant and easygoing. 160612

Tasting at Papsø’s
Black color. The aroma is not fully convincing, because along with some roasted malt there is some cream and cardboard; not bad, but cheap. The dark malts and dark caramel flavor is quite good; there is some dark chocolate and a spicy and peppery touch, with correct bitterness and zesty finish.
Quite good.
