We brewed a Grisette, a refreshingly dry farmhouse-inspired ale, and rested it in French Chardonnay barrels for almost a year! Oh, we also added about 400 pounds of Chardonnay Must to the barrels as well.
A light, elegant, full-bodied bier but wine?
It’s bier…but carries the essence of a Chardonnay. It’s called a Grisette and it’s barrel-aged.

On tap at the brewery. Pours clear light golden with a small white head, light lacing. Oak barrels, grape must, tannins, apples, barnyard funk. Good, not what I expected.
