Acidic, red berries, a bit sweet taste, this has goes towards an infection in the taste as well. Metallic aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Not at all sure this acidity is supposed to be in there, but the guys from teh brewery tasted the beer and agreed that thsi was how it was suppsoed to be like. Do not remember these acidic to sour notes from the can I tried and though not totally unpleasant, also not something I’d want in this beer.5/3/5/3/10=2.6

(Can, Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 9 March 2011) Amber colour with brief off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of apricots, orange and floral hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with orange, apricots, biscuity malt and a generous earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. It’s quite low on the usual US in-your-face hop punch, but there’s plenty of earthy, bitter hops at the back of the palate. Quite nice and well balanced.

Can from Liz. Pours hazy amber with a foamy beige head. Aromas of sweetish fruit and caramel. Med body. Flavor is rough malt with some fruitish hop. I expected more floral. Still, it’s pretty tasty. Maybe a bit less malty than Brit stuff, and maybe less floral. That fruit nose continues. Pretty nice drink.

12oz can. Hazy orange-tan, with a thin, creamy off-white head. Fresh brewery aroma, slight English Ale tones. On the lighter side of full-bodied, with some toasty malt tones and a solid soapy hop undercurrent. The hops are all bitterness and soap, not much in the way of citrus. Relatively true to style, not as dark or thick as a typical American version. OK, rather unspectacular.

Can from Attitude brew. Pours clear amber. Nose and taste of metal, malts and hops.

Can. Pours a pale amber color with a small off-whie head. Has a sweet malty caramel aroma with some weak hoppy hints. Sweetish malty caramel flavor with some bready hints. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish.

Enjoyed in can form. Aroma is faint but somewhat calming, very light hint of malt and bread. This is a malty beer but rather thin, not very carbonated. It’s just an OK beer, nothing special (no pun intended).

Sample at the Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09: Canned version. This brew is a clear reddish-orange color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Caramel malt aroma with hints of vinegar. Medium body with a sweet malty character and notes of butterscotch and citrus. Again there is an off vinegar presence in the background. The finish is short and malty. Slightly below average ESB overall.
