"Peter The Hop"
An imperial Indian pale ale. It is all about the hops with this beer. Five pillars of new age craft brewing - Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Citra, Columbus, for extra hoppy taste and aroma beer enthusiasts are craving for.

Can. A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, pine needles, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of pine needles, hops, spices, citrus fruits, and malt, leaiding to a bitter finish. 7/4/8/3/15

On tap at Kakis Maisa I'm becoming little bit suspicious, that something is wrong with the serving here. Again, nothing exceptional, okay, but... There's that strange flavor.
Magus, hapukas, mõru, humalane, tsitrus, väike paber, linnaseline, mänd, alks. Ok.

From a 440ml can on 10/6/2024. Pours a clear deep golden with a medium head that disappears quickly. Has a mild citrus fruit and resin nose. Tastes of sweet orange and apricot with a massive resin pine bitterness that lingers long. Has a chewy palate and moderate carbonation. Yet another excellent Latvian crafty.

Small off-white head, over unclear amberish golden beer. Caramel, even toffee; bit preserved orangepeel, even liqueurish. Bitterish flavour, bit resiny, again preserved orangepeel, resins. Something as from vegetable peelings, husks, dry leaves. Medium bodied at least, oily feel, good carbonation. Apparently packed with C-hops, reading the blurb, but they come out crude, unrefined. And I get the impression that Labietes again added herbs they plucked from the roadside. Purchased @ Beer in a Box, Alkmaar.

Bottle ordered from Craft Beer Station, Northampton. Aroma has a resinous streak and citrus, with a sweet stone fruit edge. Opaque amber. Thick foamy white head. Heavy bitter. A big dose of resin. A fruity streak. Develops a slightly sweet citrus element. Spice. Underlying malts. There's something not quite fully developed about it, a tad raw. Medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Punchy but just quite the finished article.

0,5 on tap (number 5 of 16) at Labietis with Snegurochka. Pours a deep orange clear body with a small off-white head that soon disappears and leaves a filmy layer of lacing covering most of the glass. Aroma is quite strong of bitter hops, dark fruits and brown sugar as well as caramel. Some notes of well integrated alcohol. Full-bodied mouthfeel which helps the aftertaste linger. Flavour is very much akin to aroma, and its consistency in that regard is highly appreciated. Perhaps not spectacular and somewhat formulaic but evidence of the quality craftsmanship we have come to expect from Labietis. An enjoyable brew.

Very quick re-rate on 2023: From bottle. hops, bitter tones, weak grass, herbal tones and more hops, faint fruits in mix. Hoppy and bit of aggressive aftertaste. Not from the sweet kind, but I must agree with myself has something to it. Smell of hoops, fruits maybe grapefruit. 7/3/5/3/12= 3,0, so rounding up the score a bit. old: April 2, 2020 7/3/7/4/14 = 3,4 TAP: Smell- medium strong, citrus, hops, caramel, sweet and nice. Foam- head is medium size, creamy white color, thin, bit to medium, malt, hops and hit of bitterness and caramel, some warmth, sticks to sides. Appearance- clear, medium-dark brown, orange-amber. No visible carbonation. Taste- hops, caramel, citrus, sweetness and bitterness, hops, a bunch of hops and alcohol notes. Very interesting I must say, alcohol does balance the hops and overall this is one of these hoppy beers I like, I think, I believe it is not my style, but the good balance makes it enjoyable for me.
