Pumpkin beers have been an American tradition since the pilgrims hit Plymouth Rock while Oktoberfest beers have been brewed in Germany since not long after Prince Ludwig got hitched in 1810. Now Terrapin is “carving” out our own special brew by combining these two great styles into a unique PUMPKINFEST beer...This Side Project has all the complex maltiness of a great Oktoberfest lager with the delicate spiciness of grandma’s fresh baked pumpkin pie.

Bottle from Total Wine in Orlando, FL. Pours rather orange with a slight white head. Light pie spice aroma. It’s fairly strong spice. Perhaps heavy on clove. like it for strong flavor with a firm malt backbone to carry it. Very tasty for such a low ABV.

Bottle at Ritz Carlton, Orlando, 20th November 13. Quite sweet, some cinnamon, nutmeg and thin pumpkin flavour, with other spices. Not bad for a seasonal tipple, nicer by an open fire probably

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel-orange color with a medium sized creamy tan head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet strong cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin. The flavor was dryish with strong cinnamon and nutmeg and a hint of caramel. Long dry cinnamon and nutmeg finish. Medium body. One dimensional but tasty.

12 ounce bottle. Bright brassy amber color. Small creamy beige head. Nice pumpkin and clove aroma mixes with the toasted malts. Nice combination of toasted malt flavor and light cinnamon and nutmeg spiciness. Defininately a lot less spicy than most pumpkin beers. Smooth and medium-bodied with a crisp light hop finish.
