Poured from a 22 oz bottle. Aroma is strongly wheat with lactic acid. A light grain note with some citrus and medium light watermelon note. Pours a slightly hazy, but surprisingly clear, bright yellow gold with a slight pinkish hue and a medium large, moderately thick, white head that shows good retention as it slowly recedes to a thin film. Flavor is moderately acidic, but not over the top or harsh. Some medium light wheat notes with some light grain. Light citrus and medium light watermelon notes. Low bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium light to light bodied with medium to medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice gose. Not over the top acidic, watermelon is there but not overly dominant. A nice, balanced and tasty gose. In many ways I like this balance better than other fruited goses out there right now.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours Pours clear light gold with a white head. Aroma is cooked fruit with a salt touch. Near med body. Flavor is pretty darn salty, and there’s definitely melon. I’d say watermelon with a touch of green melon. It finishes rather dry, and definitely salty. Gose it is. Briney even.

22 oz. bottle from Perrys. It pours a mostly clear pale yellow color with a medium white head. The aroma is pleasant and gose-like with the typical salty, lemony wheat character. Maybe a hint of melon, but its pretty subdued. The flavor, however, has a lot of nice watermelon notes along with the salt and wheat. Perfect amount of lactic, lemony tartness. Super refreshing. The body is a bit fuller than expected, but its very clean and lip-smacking on the palate. Hopefully they will put this one in cans too.
