22 oz. bottle, shared by Ian. Clear, pale gold color, with no head. The aroma is over ripe honeydew, or perhaps salted watermelon. Melon notes predominate, with lots of salt and some lemon juice. Sweet and fruity, salty, and mildly sour. Medium body, chewy, acidic, and clean. This is a fun, crisp, and refreshing beer. Very unique flavor, and well made.

Bottle. Really hard to find for some weird reason. Pours hazy golden orange, large initially fizzy white head leaves nice residual and lacing. Aroma is salted watermelons, hints of dust and lemon, an odd perfumy aroma. Flavor is full on salted watermelons, light tart, fruit, brisk. Salt fades and does not linger on the finish. Light body, high carbonation.

22oz bomber pours with a gold body that supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up apricot, melon, cucumber and then there’s some flowery cotton candy around the edges of the experience. The taste starts with a blend of sweetness, tartness and some saltiness. It gets into candy melon like sweetness to midway where a mild cucumber note joins in and helps take this into the finish. It doesn’t seem like these flavors should work but they do. Pretty nice.

On tap at pacific coast brewpub in Oakland. Pale yellow coloured pour with a fading white head. Aroma is subdued, melon, pineapple, light mineral, light straw. Flavour is crisp and refreshing, watermelon, honeydew and tart citrus, prickly pear. Tart and mineral salty finish. Palate is crisp , light , refreshing, highish carbonation, lingering prickly pear and melon. Interesting. Nice melon character.

Pours a hazy pissy color. Aroma of funky melon, some lemon notes, a little BO. To quote my wife, "tastes like someone stuck a watermelon jolly rancher in a sour beer." Fakey watermelon flavor, but nicely sour and salty. Okay beer.

Pours clear gold into a shaker. Bright white head with little retention crackles and recedes to pool surface. Sweet melon aromas. Dry with watermelon and cantaloupe upfront turning tart in the lasting rind finish.

Bottle: Pours a clear golden color with a small, short-lived white head. The nose is tart, a little briney. Taste is salty and sour up front; the watermelon sweetness kicks in just right before a lingering briney finish. Really delicious.
