Bottle. A- Watermelon rind, briney salt water, plastic. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Mild salt, slightly tart, briney, melon. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, refreshing finish. O- Liquid starbursts kinda. Briney but very refreshing. I wanted to try this more as a novelty but it actually really worked. Maybe the first beer with melon I really enjoyed.

Közepes, gyorsan elolvadó hab, kissé homályos, borostyán szín. Savanykás, gyümölcsös illat. Savanyú, enyhén sós, gyümölcsös, talán dinnyés ízek. Könnyed, erősen szénsavas, alig keserű. Frissítő, kellemesen savanykás, jó egyensúllyal rendelkező, jól eltalált gose.

Light melon but well balanced. Some salt and a plenty of tang. Better than the gimmick you’d imagine it to be like sharnado 3. Wait.. Tap at beer festival.

Pours clear golden, not very foamy, quite flat and there doesn’t seem to be much carbonation. Aroma is not very telling, salt and soap-water. Tastes like a splash of seawater that has had a melon soaking in it. Actually quite nice and I can understand that top-50 distinction that this gose has. Good stuff.

The gose is well made, nice and salty, plenty of tartness. Fruity for sure, but not really recognizable as watermelon, just a tiny bit.

Yes, finally. From a bottle. Sounds yummy, let’s see. Big head on a very pale brew, lots of co2 action visible, hope its on the palate as well. First taste is very enjoyable, tart but not over the top, barely any perceivable salt, quite good I’d say. Yummy & friendly I think. I’ll tell yah, AV is pretty good at making enjoyably tart beers! Yes, very nice! Civilized to the end.

355ml can into lager glass. Smells like the seaside and frankfurters. Very pale hazy yellow beer with no head and a few bubbles. Tart taste with moments of cheese and melon and old socks. Fascinating but a bit of a struggle to finish.

Clear golden coloured body with a thin single centimetre tall pure white head, like a soda that dies very quickly. Aroma of pure sour melons with some light salt and a bit of malt noticeable, with a lot of sugars and even more sour elements right behind. Light-bodied; Strong salty flavours with a big noticeable melon and fruity note, showing some grass and hay with a touch of yeast and unfinished sugars along with a hint of bitterness at the tail end. Aftertaste shows the melon, a bit of grass and assertive bitterness, and ending sour with a little sweet note - very nice and completely typical for the style in a good way. Overall, a nice gose with the strong melon flavour, yet stronger sour notes throughout with the hint of salt and a the completely easy-to-drink mouthful - all from a can, almost perfect! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom, Eye Street Northwest), DC on 08-May-2016 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington on 05-January-2017.
