Waternelon rind nose. Clear golden, medium head. Salty and tart cucumber. Light body, soft carbonation. Intensely tart, but excessively salty to balance it out. Very pickley.

12 ounce can from Whole Foods Charlottesville, 5/28/16. Hazy yellow, large foamy white head. Good retention. Aroma of earth, melon, wheat, salt. The taste is lactic tartness, watermelon, wheat, coriander, salt and a bit of cheese. Medium bodied, bright, refreshing, mild lingering tartness.

Can at the Sinclair on 10/12/16.
Goldenrod-yellow body is clear with a medium-sized, off-white head showing moderate retention.
Easygoing salt in the nose with very low acidity, just a pinch of light lactic character really, and strong, but fairly authentic melon. Not hugely aromatic, but it’s clean and with no alcohol or mettalic character.
Moderately sweet for the style with salinity adding perceived fullness to the body, as well, and light honey lingering with strong watermelon character that is quite enjoyable, I thought. It’s a big "thick" and though the acidity helps lighten it to some degree, I think this is not terribly drinkable relative to the style. Couldn’t see drinking much more than one, two max in a night, which is not where you should be for a 4.2 abv gose.

Draught at TAPS in KL. Slightly hazy golden peach pour with dissipating fine white head. Aroma is tart melon. Taste is the same. Some sweetness, but mostly sour melon flavor with a lasting tart sweetness. Not as weird as I feared and not bad at all really for this style.

Can shared. Thanks Tohara-san. Pours a clear gold with little head. Grainy aromas with some light lemon and gooseberry. More lemon and gooseberry on the palate with a hint of watermelon on the finish. Light lingering sea salt character. Decent and watermelon is well-integrated and not over the top like so many watermelon beers. --- Beer merged from original tick of Briney Melon Gose on 22 Sep 2016 at 18:43 - Score: 7

Mild sourness, with just an okay malt background. The melon adds some sweetness I don't love. For a sour it's very avg. pint at winstons ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
