Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours “bitter brown” with minimal scummy off-white head and very low carbonation. There’s a faint aroma of marmalade and almonds. In the mouth it is sweet and fruity but with quite a watery texture. Flavours are malts and autumn fruits with hints of traditional hops and caramel later on. Quite bitter in the finish. This is reasonable – if somewhat bland.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Clear nose. Nice mahogany colour. Nice grassy hop at the end of the sip. Felt exactly like how a bitter should feel. Great stuff. (29/8/22). ---- Bottle from Systembolaget. Lovely nutty aroma. A pint of bitter exactly as it should look and taste. Moorish nutty hop flavours. 3.6 to 3.7. (13/3/23) --- Bottle from Systembolaget. Didn't come across as charming this time. Extremely nutty. 3.7 to 3.6.
