Half pint, cask ale at Baxter's Court (JDW). A pearl white head leaving upper part lacing on the glass. Hazy amber body. Malt-driven aromas with a caramel touch. Fine blended taste profile of caramel malts and herbal hops followed by a bittersweet ending. Decent bitter version. (Hackney, London 28.09.2018).

(Cask at Black Door, 20171022) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, earth and mildly caramel. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, earthy and bitter. A solid bitter.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a tiny, white head. Sweet, caramellish nose. Medium body, sweet caramellish malts, lightly metallic, lightly fruity with a late base bitterness. Really just bittering hops here. OK for what it is, although the metal note is very annoying. 060916
