Thought this had been tasted and rated before. Not so, grasshopper. So with my last beer of the pack I make a rating now. 12 oz can with an advertised 12.0% abv poured into a local Texas brewer snifter to get a large dose of caramel, coffee and chocolate. The taste is strong with dark chocolate, a toffee sweetness, a nutty effect from the hazelnuts I assume, dark bread and malt. Heavy.

Bombshell aroma / first sip; mellows out after that but always hazelnut upfront. No booziness in the bourbon barrel, just well balanced spice notes. A real modern classic. MichiCAN, baby. 9/5/18, only 11% back then. I’d make a new entry but WGAF.

12oz pours an oily black with some spitty grey head. Nose is praline, caramel, chocolate syrup, malty. Smells like a bag of spiced nuts. Tastes the same, its kitschy but I dig it, chocolate and spiced nuts, caramel, spices. Full bodied, sweet finish. 8 3 8 4 14

Bottle. Pours a deep, dark brown with a finger or so of head. Aromas of Nutella and imperial stout. Flavor is chocolate and coffee with a bit of hazelnut. Some banana on the tail end. It's decent enough, but I kind of hoped for better.

Bottled,355 ml, from Beerdome, shared with Miro B and Max. Dark brown tan head. Chocolate, niice roastiness, nuts, sweet, bitter finish, medium bodied.

Tap @ Sori Taproom, Helsinki. Poured pitch black in color with a tan head. Hazelnuts all over with roasted malts. Hazelnutty, roasty flavors with notes of chocolate and coffee. mild bourbon notes. ABV nicely hidden, some warmth.
