ENGLISH - This is the beer that Teo has dedicated to great white wines. It is made with spelt by “Mulino Marino” and barley from our fields, and is aged in the barrels kept in “Cantina Baladin” which previously contained some of the most excellent Italian wines. A beer that celebrates the combination between two great products of the earth. The following producers have cooperated to the project: Antinori, Di Majo, Fazi Battaglia, La Scolca, Livio Felluga and Monte Rossa. LUNE, is excellent drinking slowly after a meal.

Fantastiskt god.

Handbottled(?) @Open Baladin
Murky brown color, tiny off-white head. Very alcoholic, white wineish aroma. Full-bodied, liquerish palate. Front is stronger but then very toffeish, sweet flavor leading to appley whitewineish finish. Covers alcohol completely. Nice dessert.

Appearance: Murky golden color with no head. Well, then no lacing either.
Aroma: Vinous, fruity, oak and caramel malty.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a mild bitterness. No carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Well balanced and complex. Round sweet malty feeling. Rich fruity, vinous, vanilla and some oak. Very well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: Tasty evening sipper. But actually felt a bit thin!
Personal stats: Bottle from Open Baladin in Roma, Italy.

Sampled from a 0.75l bottle @ Gaasa. This is a headless clear blurry golden one. It has a really interesting aroma that's quite dominated by beef stock, exotic nuts, soy sauce, rutabaga and that's about it. Really different and highly enjoyable. Soft to flat on the carbonation and lovely sticky on the mouthfeel. Just as interesting flavors. Its heavy nutty, lots of Asian sesame seeds, caramel and sweet sticky dates. Really different and exciting. Not to mention tasty! 01.03.2013

2023-10-12, vintage 2010, bb 2015, 13 years old, 7-4-8-4-16=39
Hazy, dullish amber colour; still. Mild aroma of malt, honey, very light fruit. Medium body, smooth, moderately sweet; not very rich beer base, but it still has some nice, astringent note from the wine barrels.
Good.
2016-07-20, bottle from Spillo, Palermo, 7-4-7-3-15=36
Oak and vanilla aroma, moderate fruitiness, a bit weak on the palate. It seems to be aging not too well. But still a reasonably good beer.
2013-09-21, bottle at Bistrot Baladin, Milan, vintage 2010, 8-4-6-3-14=35
Vanilla and malt aroma, talc. Sweet flavor, less malt than the other Baladin Barley Wines, some vanilla, light white wine (e.g. Passito) touch, low bitterness.
Rather dull; probably it should not be served so warm (but it's a house beer!).
2012-05-24, courtesy of Jan (fonefan), parallel with Terre, 8-5-8-3-16=40
Amber color. Very nice aroma, luscious, malt, wood, some bourbon, light tobacco; more elegant than the aroma of Terre. Strong body, round mouthfeel; sweet but not syrupy; good malt flavor, with light fruity accent, raisins and quite evident alcohol; there is more oak and vanilla character than wine character.
Very good, but a bit rough.
