Cask a Christian IV, Odense. A hazy dark golden beer with a small bubbly off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of yeast and a bit of diacethyl. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and a bit of diacethyl, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Very smooth mouthfeel.

Pint of cask (doh!) at Christian Firtal, Odense. Cloudy golden with a small, but lasting white head. The aroma has spicy hops, grainy malt and some DMS. Sweetish malty flavour with just enough hops. Having a pint of the second batch on at C4, I realize that it really lives up to it’s name: It’s clearly a lager, but there is a slightly fruity note, and mouthfeel is more British cask than unfiltered pilsner. Unique and delicious
