Bottle at KØ10. A Schwarzbier of the malty kind. Not as roasted as others. Good body, not like the thin commercial ones.

Very dark red/brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of dark caramel and molasses, hay and grain. Dark malty flavour with both caramel and licorice. Medium sweetness with a nice bitter finish. Falls somewhere between a Czech Cerny and a German Schwarzbier, with Svaneke’s usual high standard and crisp malt flavour

Tasting at Papsø
Hazy dark amber color; small creamy head. The usual dusty Danish aroma, dark caramel, malt; quite German. Dry caramel flavor, with light roasted malts; the final is lightly ashy. Drinkable.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of caramel, nuts, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of bread, malt, caramel, nuts, and minerals, leading to a dry mineralic finish.
