Bottled. A dark nut-brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, nuts, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, nuts, and metal, leading to a dry nutty finish.

50 cl bottle from Systembolaget, sampled on May 19, 2011BB 07 March, 2012Nice looking label.Clear dark brown color, fairly big light brown head. Looks very nice. Sweet, caramel, malty scent. Malty, berry, butterscotch, sweet taste. Rather short malty aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Nice to feel that it’s not overly loaded with co2. Some mineral feeling to the taste and texture as well.It’s OK, pretty drinkable, something a lot of people will enjoy as an easy to drink beer with food or on its own. That berry and butterscotch doesn’t mix to well with my taste though, so don’t think I’ll get it again.

Bottled:
Pours dark brown with a lacing head. Buttery toffee aroma. Smooth, buttery toffee flavour with some ashy burnt notes. Not too shabby for a beer from Åbro.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges and a foamy head. Malty, fruity and roasted aroma with notes of caramel, raisins and some smoky notes. Sweet, malty and fruity taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit and roasted malt. Not bad, but not too impressive either.
