Bottle. Clear dark brown with big tan head. Aroma is light roasted malts, liquorice and chocolate. Flavour is light roasted malts, chocolate, nutty, medium sweet, liquorice, little dry and a little coffee.

Clear reddish brown with a big beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, nutty, light liquorice and dusty. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 280212

Draught @ The Red Lion on January 22. Pours dark reddish brown, almost black, with a frothy white head that clings to the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty sweet with roasted malts, pumpernickel, coffee and some salty liquorice. Taste is very malty, slightly sweet and slightly bitter with roasted malts, coffee and pumpernickel. Finish is dry and slightly bitter with heavily roasted malts.

33cl Bottle via trade with SaintMatty, thanks Matt! Almost black with a ruby hue, thick creamy light beige head. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa powder, vegetables, dark malts. Flavour is light sweet, malty, cocoa, roasted malts, cocoa, light coffee bitter fiinish with a hint of moccha. Light to medium bodied. Nice beer.

Dark brown color, good beige head. Chocolaty, grassy hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Chocolate, nutty, dark tobacco-like toasted malts. Lingering coffee in the aftertaste.

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan) Dark brown colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with dark bread, ryvita and black coffee. Roasted, malty taste with notes of dark bread, roasted malt, chocolate and a generous roasty/citric bitterness. Medium body, fairly dry. Tasty and quite nice.

Pours clear brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, soap and herbs. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Draught@SBWF2011. Deep brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is mildly roasted, quite coffeeish, some mild caramel and ashes as well. Flavour is mild toasted notes with some hops and mild nutty notes.
