All traditional and no tricks, this is a dark Belgian session ale with an intensely fruity nose and flavor of dark stone fruits, port wine and sweet spices. Brewed with abundant Belgian specialty malts and a healthy helping of fragrant Styrian Aurora hops, this brew drives home all of the character of a huge abbey ale, but on a low alcohol backbone that calls you back for another, and another and another.

4oz pour at the Northern Virginia BrewFest. Poured a vibrant, slightly cloudy ruby orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was Belgian yeast notes, candi sugar, some spice character. Belgian notes, some bubblegum in there towards the finish. Relatively sessionable,
